Who’s behind OTTO?
Hi! I’m Rachel, founder of OTTO Holiday Club and someone who has spent 20 years in education, working in a variety of different roles and settings from Music teacher, Head of Year in a large secondary school and a Headteacher in schools for young people with special needs. Outside of school, I’m married to a teacher and Mum to an 8 year old, so like you, I have only ever known what it’s like to be restricted when travelling during the school holidays.
Over this time, I got fed up with paying premium prices so I learnt various ways to avoid the high costs associated with travel outside of term time. Now I want to share all my tips, advice and ways to save with you, along with great holiday offers that you can experience too!
With the average holiday taking over 30 hours to research, I know not everyone has the time or know-how to find and book holidays in the most cost-effective way, that’s why I founded the OTTO community, so you don’t have to spend your time and effort searching for your next getaway!
So that’s my mission: I want to promote equitable travel for everyone, especially those who are restricted by outside term-time only holidays. I’m dedicated to being your school holiday travel champion and disrupting the premium school holiday system. By making the world of travel more accessible and inclusive to school staff and parents, you too can enjoy the unmissable experiences you’ve always dreamed of.

The only conditions are that you have to be able to start and finish the experience within the school holiday period and the price represents good value for money.
